the sun is up!

Daisy just came by... seems she is wants out, and is ready for breakie.   This means I have been up all night again.  I have been editing photos and adding items to my artfire page and apparently forgot to go to bed.  Think I should get one of those addict warnings:  you have been on the computer for more than 2 hrs.. look at the clock!
At least it was a productive night.  Today was going to be for yardwork.. but will have to see how the weather holds.  It is blowing like crazy.  I like the wind.. but... not having dirt flung in my face!  :)
oh darn... guess I'll have to stay inside and do some beading..  :D

Just completed and delivered the earrings and necklace I did for my neighbor, Angela, for her up-coming high school grad.  The original order was just for the earrings, but I couldn't resist doing a necklace to match, and she was thrilled with it!

Had a cold that has wiped me out pretty good.  Finally getting my voice back.  Sounded kinda squeaky most of the week.  Haven't been doing too much beading this last week because of that.  I did get some new items listed on Artfire.  Still want to get more listed.  I reactived several items on etsy.  My inventory was sitting at 0 for quite a while.  Hard to make any sales that way.  I also have to send link to Chinookwinds.  Hopefully that will provide some sales as well.  Word of mouth locally is still providing most of my sales.  But that can only be good!  :)

Also heard back from Northern Bead co.  They will put a link to my artfire and esty pages on their site.  More exposure can only mean more sales.  Need to keep putting pics up in forums and on FB.

Summer Rain

wow... doesn't seem like two weeks since my last entry.. but it is. 
The bunny bracelet was completed and sent.  Unfortunately it didn't get to it's destination by Easter.  And, when it did arrive this week, part of the clasp had broken during transit.  The client will send it back and I'll repair and return it.   I feel bad this happened, but will do my best to make things right.

Sent pics to Northern Bead Co. of bracelet I'd made from beads purchased on their site.  I was really happy with the outcome of the piece.  I hadn't used 'atlas' beads before... don't think I'd even heard of them.  They are like overgrown hex beads.  I call this piece Summer Rain.. what do you think?

Took a breaking from bunny beading, and went for training for election day.  No.. it wasn't to learn how to vote... :P  I will be working a polling station on election day.  Should be interesting, and give me some money, and that is always a good thing  :).
Now back to beading - almost done the bracelet.

romping with my bunny peeps today.. lol  Started the bunny bracelet for Marlene.  I should be able to get it done and mailed by the weekend.   Maybe I should have some carrots for lunch.. ??!!  hee hee hee

Finished the bunny bracelet this morning.  And am quite pleased with how it turned out.  I completed the band last night, but had to wait till this morning to pick out colors for the carrot.  I am decidedly short on orange beads!  Probably because orange is not one of my fave colors... it works for some things of course,  and it's always good to have at least one of every color... for projects just like this!  The pattern is from the Fusion Bead site, inspiration page.

Got an order today for a very special pair of earrings.  My neighbours prom is coming up, so we designed some earrings based on a pic she found on the net, and swarovski crystals to match her dress.  Add some silver, she is gonna be stylin!  Now, just have to get the crystals ordered.
Still haven't heard back from curling bracelet lady.  I have the new crystals for her bracelet and would like to get that done for her.
Have been working on a few more patterns and design ideas, but working on a peyote bunny pattern from Beading Daily!.  It'll be cute when it's done.  Will most likely end up giving it to mom  :)

I've had a lot of ideas popping into my head for the last couple days.  I've had to actually write them down in my notebook.  With any luck, I've included enough info and drawings it will all make sense to me when I get around to doing those pieces.  Mostly bracelets and necklace ideas.  Always looking for inspiration, and hopefully my design notes will improve. 
I recently downloaded free bead design software, and have been using that to do some peyote patterns for some cuffs and dog collars I want to do.  It's not too bad to work with... and the price was right  :)

ok, if I'm asking you to give your opinion, it makes sense that I actually include a pic for you to view.  So,
I finally got my camera software downloaded and just successfully loaded my first pics to this laptop!
Now you can tell me if this pattern sends you back to the 80's ... or was it just me?!?

80's flashback?

Ok.. is it just me?  or does anyone else get a flashback to the 80's when you see this lasted peyote collar I've just completed?!
A triangle pattern kind of morphed into a zigzag pattern, and this was the result.  The pale color is really a nice transparent seafoam that didn't photo very well in these shots.
